Coroner's Inquest James Spargo
(The following inquests have been held by J. Carlyon,
Esq., coroner: - )
On the same day (Friday last), at Stithians, on the body of James
Spargo, miner, aged 68 years. Deceased was an ore dresser at Carvannal mine, and
had been following his occupation on Thursday morning, apparently in his usual
health. About dinner time he went into the sump house, and whilst chatting with
a comrade, he fell backwards and died. Verdict, "Visitation of God."
